Author: John Bergez Who are your heroes? There are many kinds of heroes—from brave soldiers and explorers to great artists and athletes. But being a hero can also mean standing up for what you think is right, like these five Americans: Elizabeth Cady Stanton and Susan B. Anthony helped get women the right to vote. Martin Luther King, Jr. led the fight for equal rights for African Americans. Cesar Chavez worked for fair treatment for farm workers. Ryan White spoke out for people with AIDS.
