Read:OutLoud 6 includes an improved accessible web browser that is now compatible on Mac and Windows. It's now easier than ever to read and navigate online and Read:OutLoud 6 even highlights word by word as it reads.
Read:OutLoud includes a variety of templates that reflect the most widely-embraced, research-validated comprehension strategies. Templates are designed to help students use comprehension strategies when reading.
Capture critical facts and information with green, red and yellow highlighters. Highlighted text is automatically added to the student's outline which can be organized and used for studying or report writing.
The bibliographer helps students create their own bibliography using dozens of source types including electronic/webpage, articles, books, etc. Formats include both APA and MLA.
An outline is automatically formed when students highlight text. Students can quickly arrange the contents of the outline to make meaning of the text. In Read:OutLoud 6, the outline is completely modifiable—students can add to and modify text in the outline.
Read:OutLoud 6 is the only one of the top text readers that opens native DAISY 3 files without converting them. There are some disadvantages to conversion in that you lose key navigation and description information from the DAISY file, and you have to manage multiple file versions and chapters.
