Children's Speller & Dictionary is a silent speller and dictionary so students can use it during regular class time without disturbing others. Offers automatic spelling correction for nearly 50,000 words. Includes 40,000 basic definitions specifically for young children. "Confusable checker" helps students distinguish and interpret common homonyms or other words to make correct word choices. Requires four AAA batteries (not included).

Franklin hand-held dictionaries are great companions to Write:OutLoud and Draft:Builder that also use the Franklin dictionary and spell checker.
