gives your students anywhere access to their textbooks on their iPads,
smartphones, and laptops. And since Bookstream is fully accessible, your
students can use their text-to-speech software to read the text aloud.
Your students with physical disabilities and visual impairments have a difficult time turning book pages and reading the small printed text on the pages. With Bookstream, they will have access to all of their books on their laptops and can use Bookstream with their assistive technology tools like Jaws and Read:OutLoud.

Bookstream is fully 508 compliant, so students can use any assistive
technology that works with a web browser (like Jaws, Zoomtext, and
Read:OutLoud University Edition).
Assign a book to a student or a group of students and they have immediate access.
Students can access books from anywhere, whether on campus, in their dorm, or out of town.
Some eText books can be very large, even exceeding a Gigabyte.
Bookstream includes a converter that compresses DAISY files by
60-90%. You can upload book files up to 2GB (2,000 MB).
Just give students access through Bookstream, then unassign at the end of the year.
Once uploaded to Bookstream, book files cannot be downloaded, so you can
be confident that only the students intended will have access.
