Managing your accessible library was easy when there were just a few titles to deliver to a few students. But as your library and caseload grows, managing these books becomes increasingly difficult...
- Some of your books are licensed only to certain students.
- Some of your books are HUGE—over 2GB each.
- Some of your students are copyright exempt and others aren’t.
- The 100 iPads your district just bought are difficult to use with your eBook Library.
Managing these issues takes a lot of time. But this is a new school year, and this year there’s Bookstream. In just 30 minutes, you can upload your eBook files to Bookstream,
add your students, and share books with them. You don’t have to wait on
your IT department because there’s nothing to install. With Bookstream your students will have access to their books from anywhere—the school computers, iPads, and even at home!

Reading printed textbooks can feel hopeless for your students with learning challenges and print disabilities. To be successful, they typically need the text to be read aloud and plenty of opportunities to read. Bookstream
gives your students anywhere access to their textbooks on their iPads,
smartphones, and laptops. And since Bookstream is fully accessible, your
students can use their text-to-speech software to read the text aloud.
Your students with physical disabilities and visual impairments have a difficult time turning book pages and reading the small printed text on the pages. With Bookstream, they will have access to all of their books on their laptops and can use Bookstream with their assistive technology tools like Jaws and Read:OutLoud.

Educators talk about the benefits of managing digital books from the cloud, October 13, 2011
By Madalaine Pugliese, Assistive Technology Graduate Program Director Simmons College, Boston, MA
Bookstream is simple to use and works great on my iPhone. Kevin asked me
to test the new cloud service at Closing the Gap (2011). Bookstream
seems to be a super efficient way for schools to manage, assign and
track digital books to fit a wide range of students’ preferred web
devices and learning needs.
