Product Setting: Lunchroom and gymnasium. Skill Development: Student couldn't eat lunch or play along with PE class because of the sensory overload that came with the lunchroom and gym.
This 2nd grade student was struggling with eating anything at lunch because of how loud and confusing everything was. She was so overwhelmed with these things that she never ate lunch. Using the b-Calm unit, she was able to get her lunch, sit down at a table with her peers, and eat the food she had before her. She finally was able to get past all the sensory overload and eat lunch with her peers. By mid year, she had the unit playing around her neck and by the end of the year, she was no longer needing it to be able to sit and eat with her friends.
