Annual Performance Report - is a valuable tool that permits to follow grantees' progress

Arizona- $25 M in funding was released December 2011. Five Region Education Center will each receive $2.5M to support the LEA's with Professional Development. The rest of the funding will go to the LEA's with the understanding their plan or Scope of Works will focus on Common Core with an emphasis on (STEM), science engineering and math.



Colorado - $17.9 M, in funding was released December 2011. Fifty percent of the award is designed for local education agency (LEA) using the Title 1 distribution. A scope of work activities was completed with a plan for those funds. 



Delaware - $14.7 M in funding was released March 2010. LEA's plans were approved for three years but funding will be approved year to year.  



Florida
- $20 M in funding was released December 2011. The funds will be spent on PE, Performing Arts, Visual Arts, World Languages, Career and Technical Education in Miami-Dade, Hillsborough, Polk, and Duval Counties. Here is their web site 



Hawaii -$75 M in funding was released December 2011. 



Illinois - $42.8 M in funding was released December 2011. Thirty-seven districts will serve as leaders by being the first to implement key initiatives to improve school performance and students achievement.



Georgia - $400 M in funding was released August 2010. Half of the awarded funds will remain at the state level and half will go directly to partnering LEAs via their Title I formula. All funds are to be used to implement Georgia's RT3 plan. 



Kentucky - $17 M in funding was released December 2011. They will use state and district allocations to implement professional development and resources for Senate Bill 1. Senate Bill 1, calls for a new assessment and accountability system for public schools, along with more rigorous academic standards, intensive teacher and administrator training, and strengthened collaboration among higher education, teacher/administrator certification and P-12 education sectors.



Louisiana - $17.4 M in funding was released December 2011. The Louisiana Department of Education released an updated list of districts that have agreed to participate in the state's Race to the Top (R2T) application.


Massachusetts - $250 M in funding was released August 2010. Funds will be available over four years with 258 participating districts. 50% of the funding will go to the districts and the rest will remain in the state system to benefit all districts. 



Maryland - $250 M in funding was released August 2010. Funds will be available over four years, half of the monies stays with the state department and half goes out to local LEA's. Total $124,999,635 "Scope of Work" has been created for each LEA, it is located on their department of ed website.
 



New Jersey - $38 M in funding was released December 2011. Half of the allocated funds will be kept at the state level. New Jersey utilized the "scope of work" to determine how much each school would apply for.
 



New York - $700 M in funding was released August 2010. This award will provide between $250 million and $300 million to New York City schools to support the creation of a new teacher evaluation system, develop a more rigorous curriculum and State assessments based on the national Common Core Standards, and expand a range of proven reforms first introduced in New York City. Each school will complete a Comprehensive Educational Plan (CEP), which includes goals and action plans. 



North Carolina - $200 M in funding was released August 2010. North Carolina refers to this as Career & College - Ready, Set, GO! Link below will highlight the plan that is play for their states funding. 



Ohio - $400 M in funding was released August 2010.
 



Pennsylvania - $41.3 million in funding was released December 2011
Adopting standards and assessments that prepare students to succeed in college and the workplace and to compete in the global economy; Building data systems that measure student growth and success, and inform teachers and principals about how they can improve instruction; Recruiting, developing, rewarding, and retaining effective teachers and principals, especially where they are needed most; and Turning around the lowest-achieving schools.



Tennessee - $501 M in funding was released in March 2010. Tennessee refers to this as "First to the Top."
 



Rhode Island
- $75 M in funding was release August 2010. Our grant is a four-year award, spanning 2010-2014. Rhode Island is taking a statewide approach to spending its Race to the Top award. The state and districts are pooling their resources and working together to develop tools to help every school, teacher, and student in Rhode Island, included in their Scope of Work. 



District of Columbia - $75 M was in funding was release August 2010. This funding will be used over the next four years to make significant changes and improvements to the District's education system. A collaborative effort by the Deputy Mayor for Education, OSSE, DC Public Schools (DCPS), and charter LEAs, the District's application proposed significant education reform initiatives built around four assurance areas:
Common Core Standards and Assessments
Data and Accountability
Great Teachers and Leaders
Turning Around the Lowest-performing Schools
