Don Johnston Incorporated announces its acquisition of the TRLD Conference (Technology, Reading and Learning Difficulties). TRLD is the only conference that integrates technology interventions with expert literacy strategies to ensure student success. Through quality speakers and relevant topics, TRLD gives educators ideas and strategies to immediately implement with students with high incidence disabilities. Attendees will leave this conference with a better understanding of the students they are working with and how to best meet their needs. TRLD was started in 1982 by Diane Frost of Educational Computer Conferences, Inc. For the past 22 years, it has been the only conference to bring together educators, experienced literacy leaders and technology experts to share, discuss and work towards a solution to the nation wide concern of bringing literacy success to all students. The ultimate goal of this conference is to integrate technology with literacy instruction to provide a solution to help struggling students. The International Reading Association, IRA, joined as a co-sponsor of TRLD in 1998. Diane Frost commented on her decision to turn over the conference, "I chose Don Johnston Incorporated because they are committed to upholding the high level conference program that you have learned to expect from TRLD."
